This process does not involve heating, solvent extraction or any other chemical process.  It is used frequently for its distinctive flavor and aroma. It is considered Vegan, Lactose Free, gluten Free, Glutamate Free, BSE Free, No Hydrogenated or Partially Hydrogenated Oils, Not Preservatives.
Best if used within 12 months of the manufacture date.
