Shipping Frequently Asked Questions

Orders placed Monday through Friday generally ship the same day or next day.  Orders placed after hours, on a weekend, or on a holiday will ship the next business day.  All orders ship UPS Ground unless you choose "Customer Pick Up" or qualify for LTL shipping.
We exclusively use UPS Ground to ship our packaged orders due to their extensive network and quick shipping times.  Other carriers do not offer the delivery reliability and speed that we desire.  The longer our product takes to be delivered, the greater the chance of damage or leakage, especially in huge package processing facilities.  
Shipping and processing costs are calculated from the most current UPS Ground rates based on the order's weight, number of packages, and destination.  To offer the lowest shipping costs possible, we have negotiated shipping rates with UPS due to the volume of packages we ship with them.  The cost also includes a small processing charge to cover overhead including lab testing, handling, shipping supplies/equipment, etc.  
No, we do not offer free shipping and processing due to the dense/heavy nature of our products and our wholesale pricing strategy.  Most "free shipping" costs are built into the sales price of the item.  Since we offer wholesale pricing, and in the spirit of transparency, we choose to quote the item and shipping/processing costs separately.  We don't want to quote an artificially high item price while claiming "free shipping."
Yes, you can use your own UPS account to ship your order. Please select "Customer Pick Up" as your shipping method and email your UPS account number to orders@soaperschoice.com. Please reference your order number in the email. Note: we have negotiated rates with UPS due to our large package volume. Our negotiated rate may be better than your rate.
There are two places where you can view your shipment tracking information.  The first place is the shipment notification email you receive when your product ships from our warehouse.  The second place is to log into the web store, click "My Account", and find the tracking information under "My Shipments."  Please note: the tracking info will populate once your package arrives at the UPS processing facility, which is usually after 5:00 pm Central Time on the shipment date.
Yes!  When placing your order, choose "Customer Pick Up" as your shipment method.  Customer pick up at our Des Plaines, IL warehouse is free and no appointment is necessary.  Pick up hours are M-F, 7:00 AM to 4:30 PM Central Time.  Pick up location is the glass doors facing Winthrop Drive. Ring the bell for prompt service.  Please place your order no less than 2 hours prior to your arrival time.  If you're planning an early morning pick up, please place your order prior to 2:00 PM Central Time the day before your pick up.  For CPU details, click HERE.
Yes!  If your order's net weight totals 500 pounds or more, you'll be given the option to ship via an LTL carrier.  Please choose "LTL" as your shipping method and call us at 847.257.8946 to arrange the shipment.  The shipping cost will be added to your order upon shipment arrangement.  LTL shipments are shipped on pallets and can be delivered on a truck with a lift gate.  No shipping dock is necessary for delivery, but you may be responsible for getting the product inside of your home or business.
At this time, our shipping system is not set up to ship to Canada.  We are evaluating our options to add this in the future.  If you are close to the US/Canada border, there are third party stores that will receive your packages for a small fee and you can bring them across the border yourself.
